Types of Asset Investigations

Asset Investigations are typically used for one of three primary reasons:

Pre-Judgment Discovery: Often used by clients (mainly law firms) to determine if the subject is worth pursuing in litigation.  Often also used to determine a baseline of the subject's assets to later detect if they have moved or sold assets in order to hide them from the plaintiffs or the courts.

Post-Judgment Recovery: Most often used to locate where the subject has their assets in order to to start the seizure process to fulfill the judgment settlement.  With a judgment available against the subject, our investigative sources can often delve much deeper than normal to locate and quantify the subject's assets.

Due-Diligence:  Often used to determine if a potential business partner has the assets claimed.

The extent of an asset check/search effort is usually only limited to the amount of time and budget we have been authorized to utilize.
